    Kim Naparrula is a Pintupi woman, she was born around 1960 near the Kiwirrkurra Community in the Gibson Desert. Her father is Freddy West Tjakamarra, one of the original Indigenous men involved in the creation of Papunya Tula Artists.


    Kim’s paintings show her traditional country and depict the sacred women’s ceremonies and sites. Her country is Marrapinti, a significant women’s Dreaming site which made up of water soakages in the desert near the border of the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
