ARTIST
Johnny Yungut was born in country northeast of Kiwirrkurra, and travelled untkl the late 1960s. He first started painting for Panuya Tula in 1978 before moving away.
PAINTING
Yungut's work features the tingari stories, painted by the Pintupi men. Using natural colours applied thickly to the canvas, his tingari stories are conveyed using linked circular patterns representing the soakages in the desert.
