Narputta was a Pintupi artist related to several of the original "painting men" from Papunya. After gaining initial experience working with her husband, Timmy Jugadai, she became a leading artist for Ikuntji Women's Centre in Haasts Bluff.
Narputta's work has featured in exhibitions at the Campbelltown Arts Centre and the Museum of contemporary Aboriginal art. This painting is inspired by her birth place Karrkurutjintja, in Western Australia.
