Recently I visited one of my favourite galleries, Hauser & Wirth in Bruton, Somerset, to see their current exhibition - Turning Inwards by Louise Bourgeois, which comprises of 38 wonderful soft-ground etchings.
Entering the first of the Gallery spaces the viewer is confronted by a giant bronze spider looming in the dark. It's a very powerful piece and does 'take your breath away'.
The etchings are beautiful, evocative with themes of sexuality, human relationships and preoccupation with the natural world. I particularly loved 'My Blue Sky' a watercolour, mounted on board and glass frame.
All in all the exhibition is superb.
