CONSTANCE ROBINJA (b. 1966)

Constance is one of the most respected artists working with Yarrenyty Arltere Artists, based near Alice Springs. This art centre has transformed the lives of the artists and their community, by providing a focus and plays a major role in the cultural heritage of the region. Like most of the artists here, Constance has strong Western Arrernte connections, and the heritage of this landscape in addition to her contemporary experiences, influences her work. Constance works with both soft sculptural forms and printmaking, and uses dyed textiles, mixed media and needle felting in her work.
