TUPPY GOODWIN (c. 1960)

Tuppy Goodwin was born in the bush near Bumbali Creek in 1960 and moved to Mimili with her family when she was a baby. When Tuppy retired from teaching, she was a pre school teacher for thirty at the Mimili Anangu school.   Tuppy only began to paint in 2010 at the Mimili Maku Art centre.  

 

Tuppy's paintings are contemporary with a modern perspective. Her paintings are vibrant with wonderful blocks of colour representing mountains, sky and country.   Tuppy's mothers country is Tjala (Honey Ant Dreaming)

 

Tuppy is a founding director of Mimili Maku Arts.
